Before and After Overbite Treatment With a Herbst Appliance
This patient shown has an overbite and started treatment before his teenage years.
Due to his age and the extent of his overbite, we decided he would be a good candidate for overbite treatment using a herbst. Watch the animation below to see how a herbst appliance works:
This patient was treated for a little over two years with a combination of braces and a herbst appliance. Here is his before and after pictures of his overbite treatment.
Before and After Overbite Treatment With Forsus Springs
This next patient that we will show before and after overbite treatment for started orthodontic treatment as a teenager.
Due to the extent of her overbite and her age we decided that her bite may be too severe to treat with rubber bands, and she would be a good candidate for overbite treatment with Forsus Springs. Watch the animation below to see how Forsus springs can help fix overbites.

Before and After Overbite With Extractions in a Teenager
This patient started treatment as a teenager. This patient had actually started braces treatment at another orthodontist office and had been in treatment a couple of years.
When she transferred to our office we felt that her overbite was too severe to fix with braces alone and the ideal treatment plan would be to have two permanent teeth extracted on her upper arch to fix her overbite.

This patient was treated for twelve months after transferring to our office with a combination of braces and extractions of her upper premolars. Here are her before and after pictures of her overbite treatment.

Before and After Overbite With Extractions in an Adult
This patient started orthodontic treatment as an adult. Her main concern was that she felt her teeth stuck out too far on the top and that she had very protrusive teeth.
Our goal was to get her teeth straighter, and also fix her overbite and reduce the flaring of the upper teeth. To accomplish these objectives we decided it would be best to have two upper premolar teeth extraction, similar to the patient above.
This patient was treated for a bit over two years. Here are her before and after pictures of her overbite treatment.
