Players who make it to the National Football League (NFL) prove that they are some of the best athletes in the world. They beat the odds and found a way to earn their living by playing the sport they love so much.
What got them there?
Besides talent and a great work ethic, NFL players must keep their bodies in the best possible shape. When we say their body, we mean their whole body…
…even their teeth.
Because organizations like the Arizona Cardinals invest millions of dollars into overall health and wellness for their players, we wanted to show you why many Arizona athletes…
…who could go just about anywhere…
…choose Premier Orthodontics for straighter teeth and a healthier bite.
NFL Players Prioritize Oral Health
Keeping teeth healthy in football may seem less important than protecting against head, arm and leg injuries. But NFL players know that good oral health is key to overall body health.
Here’s just a few quick facts that may surprise you:
- Bad oral hygiene can increase your risk of diabetes, stroke, and heart disease.
- Crooked or misaligned teeth often lead to practical side effects like migraines, painful chewing and erratic sleeping
- Depression and anxiety increased by 24% over the last decade, with a lack of self-confidence in one’s image being a possible contributing factor.
As you can see, maintaining the health of your teeth is vitally important.
Finding the Right Orthodontist
Finding the right orthodontist is the most important decision you can make towards meeting that goal. That’s why former Arizona Cardinal Aaron Francisco saw our commitment to oral excellence and became a lifelong Platinum member of Premier Orthodontics.
Aaron Francisco #47 DB
Aaron played college football at BYU and was signed by the Arizona Cardinals in 2005. He would go on to play in two Super Bowls, including the Cardinals’ incredible 2005 NFC Championship run. During his career, he was also selected to the Pro Bowl roster.
Professional Athletes Use Braces Too
Thanks to advances in technology, athletes – especially NFL players – no longer have to just settle for the traditional wire-rimmed braces. Instead, most athletes choose Invisalign as their preferred form of braces.
Why?
- Invisalign is nearly invisible to the naked eye, letting you keep a natural look even while your teeth are straightening.
- Invisalign requires less office visits when compared to traditional braces (great for athletes who are on the road)
- Invisalign won’t get in the way of playing sports – even if you have to wear a mouthguard.
Elie Bouka of the Arizona Cardinals chose to become a Platinum member with Premier Orthodontics because our Smile Specialists were voted the #1 Invisalign Doctors in North America.
Elie Bouka #30 DB
Elie Bouka is originally from Canada and played college football at the University of Calgary. He was originally drafted in the Canadian Football League and after an impressive showing was signed as a free agent by the Arizona Cardinals. He also played for the Philadelphia Eagles before rejoining the Canadian Football League.
One of our main missions is to help make sure families throughout the greater Phoenix area have a world-class and affordable way to improve their smiles. The Arizona Cardinals believe in this too, which is why several of the players have attended every one of our past Smiles Change Lives (SCL) events.
Ifeanyi Momah #80 TE
Ifeanyi Momah played college football at Boston College and was signed in the NFL in 2013. Ifeanyi has played wide receiver and tight end for five NFL teams during his professional career. He is currently a member of the Arizona Cardinals and is also a Platinum Member at Premier Orthodontics.
I think back to my days playing football at Boston College and now playing professionally in the NFL. I’ve had some pretty amazing times and I am very fortunate to be where I am today. I realize the success I’ve had was based on two very significant factors:
First, I always meet adversity with immediate and decisive action. Nothing has come easy for me. I wasn’t drafted out of college and had to walk onto my first NFL team. I wasn’t given anything along the way, and I had to set goals and was determined to achieve them no matter what.
Next, I would have never reached the level I am today without a great TEAM around me. I’ve been fortunate to play for five NFL teams, and I’ve had the opportunity to play alongside many superstars. I can assure you that even the superstars of the NFL understood that the only way to accomplish anything was to work together to achieve our goals.
I’m writing you because I have personally received orthodontic treatment from the specialists of Premier Orthodontics. I’ve learned about the importance of a Spectacular Smile and I’ve seen first-hand the Premier Orthodontics team in action. I have enthusiastically referred my own family and friends to their practice and would absolutely recommend them to you.
If you feel you or your child needs help with your smile, I would encourage you to take immediate and decisive action and let the superstars of Premier Orthodontics help you achieve your goals of a Spectacular Smile.
Wishing you all the best,
Ifeanyi Momah
