What to Expect At Your Invisalign Consultation

1: First, you schedule your free Invisalign consultation with Premier Orthodontics.

2. Upon arrival at your Invisalign consultation, you will be greeted by one of our treatment coordinators.
She or he is fully prepared to make everything from the first appointment to an entire treatment program go smoothly for you and your child’s Invisalign consultation.
Your treatment coordinator will be with you the entire time during your first visit.
At the Invisalign consultation, your treatment coordinator will review your information, health history, insurance information and/or any concerns regarding your teeth and smile.
3: The orthodontist will conduct an “Invisalign Smile Analysis”.
This is a thorough orthodontic exam, including teeth, mouth, jaws, and face. Safe digital X-rays are taken of the teeth and surrounding bone and of the jaw structures.
Your orthodontist will present his or her “report of findings,”…
…this will be a brief presentation in plain English (not medical jargon) of the full state of your teeth.
The orthodontist will explain any present problems and the best method for correction.
If treatment is needed, your orthodontist will offer recommendations and options. This will be an individualized, personalized plan of treatment…
…not “Invisalign in a box, off the shelf.”
After this report of findings, you will know:
- What teeth or jaw misalignment or other problems exist
- What the health ramifications are of not going through treatment
- What the appearance ramifications are of not going through with treatment
- If you’re a good candidate for Invisalign and if it is the best choice for your treatment
- What the complete treatment program will consist of (number of appointments, and average time of each office visit)
You will also have the opportunity to receive a free “smile simulation” where you can visualize what your treatment results will look like after Invisalign treatment.
We simply can take a quick and painless 3D scan of your teeth and within a couple minutes can show you what your results will look like after treatment.
4: We will answer all of your questions and concerns.
There are no dumb or embarrassing questions. Of the countless patients who have visited our offices for an Invisalign consultation, every one of them had questions!
We do not want you just nodding, then later wondering, “what did he mean by that?” or saying “I wish I’d asked about …”
This is not one of those “I’m the doctor—trust me—just do what I say because I said so” offices.

If you are ready to begin treatment, the next step would be to perform a scan of your teeth so we can begin crafting your custom plan and submitting your case to the Invisalign company.
In total, you should allow about thirty minutes for the initial Invisalign consultation plus the 3D dental scan.
