Dr. Hemali Kothari is a lecturer, a teacher, a published author, and an orthodontic specialist with advanced training in the treatment of children with cleft lip and palate and other craniofacial disorders. When not working at Premier Orthodontics, Dr. Kothari is on staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital and works in the Barrow Cleft and Craniofacial Center. She is one of very few orthodontists in Arizona that regularly treats children with these type of orthodontic problems.
Dr. Kothari has lectured to groups of dental professionals on topics ranging from the importance of early orthodontic treatment in children and on the importance of cooperative treatment planning amongst those in the dental profession.
When asked what the most rewarding aspect of her career is, she replied “Being able to help those who need it most. This is the reason I work so closely with the Barrow Cleft and Craniofacial Center and also why I am thrilled to work with those patients in the Smiles Change Lives Foundation. As orthodontists we are able to provide treatment that is desperately needed and can have such a great impact.”
Dr. Hemali Kothari completed her undergraduate studies at Arizona State University. She went on to receive her D.M.D. from Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health at A.T. Still University School graduating in the top of her class. Dr. Kothari then completed her certificate of advanced graduate study in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health at A.T. Still University.
